Anniversary Edition of the Stratusfaction411 Newsletter. The edition
of the newsletter is specifically dedicated to celebrating Trish's 6th
year on WWE television. What is
there left for Trish to do? Last
year Trish became the first six time Women's Champion, the first Women
to hold the WWE's prestige title even. Since winning that title against
Lita at New Year's Revolution, Tirsh has continued to maintain her title reign.
To make things even better, she's joined the few elite WWE Superstars to
hold a title belt for longer the 365 days, 1 year.
On top of that, she's battled back from a serious back injury that left
her at home in bed for several months while she had to sit and watch the
Women's division fall further down the ladder of importance in the WWE.
Recently she scored a layout in April edition of
Maxim. In a few weeks she will be hosting
the galla for Canadia's Walk of Fame.
Where we left off...
 Trish
was going into Wrestlemania 21 to face off toe to toe with Christy Hemme
and many of us feared that Lita would play a serious role in causing
Trish to lose her title. Those fears went unjustified as Trish went to
work on Christy and showed the one time Divas Search winner why she was
the Women's Champion.
Trish celebrated the following night on Raw by demanding a rematch with
Christy. She blindsided Christy and attacked Lita's injured knee before
the start of the match making sure that Lita wouldn't e wrestling for
many months to come. Both women were taught a fine lesson because Trish
would not have to deal with Christy again. Lita however did not take
well to the attack and had her new "husband" Kane come after Trish. The
Women's Champ ran from Kane terrified.
 March
18, 2005 would be a night many fans will remember. Not because of Trish
tried to apologize to Lita, not because Viscera saved Trish from Lita,
and certainly not because Trish was kissed by Viscera, but because this
was the night that wrestling fans across the world turned on Lita. News
of Lita's real life scandal reached the fans in Madison Square Garden
and they spoke their mines. To Trish's best efforts and mic work,
nothing could weather the storm that Lita had to face.
Trish would try to string Viscera along to protect her from Kane, but
ultimately she had to break the news to big Vis, he was just being used.
When the news struck at Backlash, big Viscera didn't t ake
it kindly and drop everything had on Trish. Trish would go out on injury
and not be scene for several months. While the WWE blamed her injury on
Viscera we know that Trish was in fact struggling the weeks leading up
to Wrestlemania and was reported as saying that at one point she was in
so much pain she couldn't move. She delayed leaving earlier hoping that
she'd be able to work through it, unfortunately a herniated disk wasn't
something she could work through.
Trish fans everywhere would have to hold their breath as Trish was gone
for four months, the longest absence in her career. During that time
we'd see most of Women's wrestling on Raw disappear, the departure of
Molly Holly, and the induction of the 2005 Diva Search winner, Ashley.
We'd see a new crop of Divas get hired, the left over that didn't win
the first Diva Search, and pull our hair out as Ashley jumped right into
a feud with Torrie, Candice, and Victoria. Luckily Tirsh's return wasn't
far behind and she was highly amused that Torrie and Candice, to former
Smackdown Divas were under the impression that they were the top Divas
on Raw.
 New
firmer, sleeker, more explosive Trish hit the ring the help Ashley out
as the three prepared for another hazing. Without hesitation she set the
record straight on who the top Diva on Raw was. The crowd was pleased to
see Trish return, it marked the end of some of the silliness that had
become the Women's segments on Raw. Thankyou Trish!
Trish's new and improved physique wasn't the only thing Trish was
sporting to the ring. Her smile was back along with a whole new wardrobe
of ring outfits that we've all been paying attention to. Some of us
still miss the 100% Stratusfaction glitter Trench coat, but everything
she's worn to the ring has been completely pleasing to the eye!
Not to take anything away from the arrival of Mickie James, Trish's
"biggest fan." Some fans wonder where things were going between Trish
and Ashley as there were to segments on two consecutive Raws that kinda
teased that maybe they were developing a relationship beyond friendship.
Maybe it was something that was abandoned... maybe not. You decide...
While Trish and Ashley were making a fine team against Victoria, Torrie,
and Candice, it was clear they were outmatched. Enter Mickie James.
Mickie James is "Trish's biggest fan." Such a fan that Trish was clearly
too disturbed to reply to all the emails she sent. In the beginning
Trish seemed glad to have Mickie on her side, particularly since she
seemed very skilled in the ring.
 Many
fans have to ask themselves, what was a bigger event for them? Finally
having a Divas Holloween Costume contest on Raw or the Fulfill Your
Fantasy Divas Battle Royal the
following weekend on at Taboo Tuesday. Clearly the reaction of the fans
not only struck a cord with Trish but the fans because the Holloween
edition of Raw featured all the Divas in costume, Trish honoring her
fans with a much better Wonder Woman costume then the one she wore at
the houseshow two years before.
After Taboo Tuesday wrapped up, all the WWE Superstars geared up toward
the next big event of the year, Survivor Series. In an on air WWE
Supershow on Monday night Raw, Melina made her Raw debute and defeated
all the WWE Divas in another Battle Royal. This was a perfect
opportunity for Melina to announce her intensions to Trish even though
the Divas and other WWE Superstars were honoring the memory of Eddie
Guerrerro.
 Regardless,
the following Raw MNM showed up and kidnapped Trish while she was at
ringside for Mickie James. The kidnapping followed up with Trish being
bound and gagged by MNM, leaving her defense and at Melina's will.
Melina put boot to face and knocked Trish down.
Although Melina scored the first blow, Trish has never been one to lie
down for anyone and she took Melina one-on-one at Survivor Series. With
MNM in Melina's corner, Trish took to the air and defended the Women's
title, being one of the few Raw superstars to win their Interpromotional
match that pay-per-view.
With Melina defeated, there was only one thing left for Trish to do
 that
year, and that was head over sees to visit the Troops. The Troops
weren't the only ones Stratusfied this year because we saw the return of
the Santa's Helpers Match as well as the Trish in combat gear,
Stratus-styling!
After the holiday break was over, Mickie started to get weird. She
started by kissing Trish under the mistletoe, sacrificing herself in a
Over-the-top Battle Royal, and invading Trish's privacy in the shower.
Not only was she growing weird, but she was growing jealous of Ashley
and Ashley was clearly concerned about Mickie's stability. After all,
Ashley was calling Mickie psycho. We were all still wondering what it
was that Mickie had written to Trish that cause her to not respond but
to know the name.
 Needless
to say we'd find out in the coming months! When Royal Rumble rolls
around, Mickie announces to Trish and the world that she loves Trish.
This just before Trish has to be the impartial referee for Mickie vs
Ashley. By the look on Trish's face it was quite clear that she wasn't
happy about counting Trish out and declaring Mickie the winner, it only
served to fill the growing fire that was Mickie James.
After Royal Rumble, Mickie through a Trish

celebration party with balloons and ticker tape. Trish tried to talk to
her but Mickie refused to let her get a word in. Trish attempted to
break
things off with Mickie gently. She introduced us to Jack, her date.
Mickie quickly disposed of him by faking out a security guard and most
of the WWE, including Trish, into believing that Jack had attacked
Mickie backstage, almost sexually assaulting her when in fact Mickie had
been the aggressor.
With a new Playboy issue coming out, Candice saw her opportunity to make
her mark in the WWE and challenge Trish to her title. In a Battle Royal
which would cause Ashley to be injured, Candice won the #1 Contenders
spot to challenge Trish on the
 next
Raw. Things weren't quite as they seemed within Vince's Devils, or the
Three Skankateers as Trish likes to call them. While Victoria has been
more then happy to stroke Candice's ego, Torrie was clearly growing
jealous and the friction was starting to divide them. Torrie attempted
to help Candice win the title but it ultimately costed Candice the
match!
The friction would continue till Victoria and Candice turned on Torrie
at Candice's Playboy unveiling. That same night Trish tells Mickie that
she's too much, that Trish needs her space from Mickie. This did not sit
well with Mickie and she'd soon get her revenge.
 Trish
followed up defeating Candice by having a match against Victoria. The
only other woman who could really claim any contedership against Trish
at this point. Trish came out alone to deal with both Candice and
Victoria and proved to need Torrie's help defeating Victoria to retain
her title. Victoria swore revenage and Trish would soon find her tag
partner for Saturday Night Main Event knocked out unconscious backstage.
Was it Victoria and Candice or did Mickie James do it in jealous rage?
We don't know, the only thing we do know is Trish needed a new tag
partner and Mickie was right there to volunteer, offering Trish one last
match together and then they could part ways.
Trish accepted hoping that Mickie meant it. They wrestled a pretty one
sided match together. A fresh Mickie in their corner the entire time
while Trish was overwhelmed by the teamwork of Victoria and Candice.
When the tables finally did turn, Trish got the pin with a
Stratusfaction Bulldog won the match.
Mickie then got in the ring with a mic and wanted to say goodbye the
right way but Trish clearly wasn't interested. She turned away as
Mickie tried to kiss her. Before Trish knew it she was being blind sided
by Mickie James with a Chick Kick followed by a Stratusfaction Bulldog
of Mickie's very own. A complete slap in the face weeks before
Wrestlemania 22.
 What's
clear is the two Divas will now meet at Wrestlemania 22 in April. What's
not clear is how Trish will respond to this attack and this betrayal.
Will Torrie prove to be a valuable ally if Mickie joins forces with
Victoria and Candice? How does Lita fit into Trish's future... she has
to return eventually right?
2006 has just begun and there's a still plenty of time left for some
great Stratusfying moments and memories!
