Trish Injured?!

There's been a lot of speculation regarding Trish being injured, whether she was favoring her ribs during her match on Raw or something else and that the extended part of her outfit might have been there to help give her ribs support.

 The new buzz is that she's actually suffering back troubles which could spell disaster for her fifth title reign and the Women's Division.  Though we can not confirm anything, we wish Trish a fast and speed recovery if she is in pain.

Someone says something in the back that you can't hear and (I am assuming that someone said something about her injury,) Josh says "Oh."

Josh: Dr. Tom do you know anything about the injury to Trish Stratus that you can tell.

Dr. Tom says, "Matter of fact I do, but we are not going to talk about it, Josh. Thank you very much."

Then Josh says, "If you don't want to talk about it that's fine."

And Dr. Tom then has this look on his face like Josh said something wrong.

Sole Collector On Trish

Steve Mullholand explained the Sole Collector shoot to 411 and had the following to say about Trish....

 
We took over the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada for this shoot as we knew it was going to be a hot, hot photo session. During the afternoon we shot Trish Stratus and I have to say Trish Stratus is not only a blond bomb shell she is also an extremely witty person. I mean Trish is truly sharp as a tack coming up with seriously funny lines left and right. She also was the perfect model as she came up with a lot of great ideas for shots. One of her ideas is printed in this issue of Sole Collector where she is lying on the motorcycle with her feet kicked up on the handlebars. There was a pretty serious drop from the motorcycle if she fell off as the bike was on a tall stand and I think most models would have chickened out. But there was no way Trish was going to pass this up and not only did she want to do it, she rocked the shot which made it as a two page spread in the magazine! 

A lot of times you think the person behind the character is either boring or doesn’t have much there – well Trish not only has a lot there, she knows how to use it. If you ever get the chance to see Trish live don’t miss it as she is one in a million.

We wrote to the new editor of Oxygen Magazine, Kerrie Lee Brown, a few months ago and found out this...

 
Unfortunately Trish's cover shoot has been delayed since she recently broke her wrist/hand .. a few weeks ago. In fact, due to her canceling her shoot with us for her Oxygen piece and so we've now had to re-schedule for beginning of August. Anyways, good news though - we 're printing a nice training poster of Trish for her issue when it comes out - but her issue won't be on the newsstands now until November. Sorry about the delay, but like I said, Trish's recent injury really put us behind.

More recently when medically cleared and started wrestling again we wrote Kerrie back and asked for an update. She was nice enough to get back to us and let us known it seems to be on time for November...

We're working on her issue right now .. just started it ... will be out in two months for sure.

Stacy: Oh, I'm so sure she's jealous of that. C'mon that's all she's been talkin about for the longest; I'm the 3-time Babe of the Year, I'm the 3-time Babe of the Year. Well guess what? Your not the 4-time Babe of the Year, Trish.

Note that Stacy was in character and if the Divas DVD are any indication, Trish and Stacy are friends when they're not performing.

Trish on Diva Search 2004 DVD, release date, more

Trish and the other Divas can be seen on four wheels on the Diva Search 2004 DVD. The Diva Search DVD includes on site video from the Divas 2005 photo shoot.

The tentative release date for the Divas 2005 video is April 15, 2005. We can expect the magazine to be released that week as well if this data solidifies.

There seems to be a 2-disc Divas DVD in the works.  No indication if this is a worldwide release yet or not be it's being slated for a 2005 release. Hopefully it'll include more then just the T&A matchs and include some of the classic matches between Trish, Victoria, and Jazz.

WWE might have underestimated Ric Flair's appeal in Charlotte, but they showed a lot of faith in these women and in North Carolina's willingness to get behind Lita (who has, in recent years, adopted North Carolina as her home). It was well-placed faith, all-around. The women delivered, the fans got into it, and if you ever needed more proof that I know what I'm talking about whey I get off onto half-formed tangents about how frustrating and misguided WWE's recent hiring practices with regards to the women are, well, here's 10 minutes of it in concentrated Main Event form!

I'm giving Match of the Night to Trish and Lita. They took 8-9 minutes and kicked some ass; the final 3-4 minutes were the most fun I had all night, actually. Anyone want to explain to me again how a Diva Search Loser is just as valuable as Trish Stratus? Didn't think so... in fact, I'll give you ALL the Diva Search Losers combined, and I'll take Trish, and I've still got the upper hand if I'm a Wrestling Company

Trish Stratus is absolutely incredible, and deserves way more credit than anyone has ever given her.

Fans of women's wrestling have been dealt a few hard blows lately. First, there was the release of Jazz and Gail Kim, two Divas who were able to hang in the ring, not just lay on a beach. Then there was the influx of eye candy for such notable segments as the lingerie fashion show and the limbo contest. However, Lita and Trish Stratus took to the ring this past Monday and put on what was, arguably, the best female wrestling match in the history of Raw. Every sneer directed towards the correct camera, every action was crisp and made sense. Trish was a heel in the classic wrestling sense. She correctly took the pulse of the crowd and paced the match accordingly, while making sure there was little redeemable about her, from the "reveal" of her nose not being broken, to using the mask as a weapon out of sight of the referee, to the attempted feet on the rope pin that fooled the crowd TOTALLY, Trish put on a phenomenal heel clinic.

I've been so very busy, busy, busy! 2005 has started off as one of my busiest years yet – which is a good thing! After a relaxing break with family and friends during Christmas, January meant back to business.

I began January with a trip to Tokyo, Japan to attend a press conference with Shawn Michaels, Stacy Keibler, Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon. I will be heading back there next week to for the first ever Monday Night RAW taping which will take place on February 4th in Tokyo.

After the press conference, I flew straight to Puerto Rico for the New Year's Revolution Pay-Per-View. There, "just like that", I won back the WWE Women’s title for a record breaking sixth time!

Stacker 2 has signed me on as an official spokesperson, so watch for a national commercial coming to a TV near you as we just finished filming! I’ll soon have more details as to when the product will launch and when the commercial will air.

For my Canadian fans, I just shot my third cover for UMM Magazine. We shot some really unique stuff, I can’t wait for you to see it!

Imagine 2 RAW Divas and 2 Smackdown Divas dishing the dirt! Well, watch for the upcoming issue of Stuff, where you can catch me with Stacy, Torrie and Amy. Should be delicious!

January 17th, Monday Night RAW came from the ACC in Toronto and I have to say T.O. fans are the BEST! You guys rocked the house, and I thank you for such a warm welcome — the kind of welcome where you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Thanks Toronto!

Whew! It’s only one month into 2005 — we have 11 months to go and that can only mean one thing — there’s yet plenty of Stratusfaction to deliver this year!

Britney, The Diva? - Trish Stratus
This doesn't happen often these days with how tight security is at airports, but there was this one time when few of the guards asked me for a couple of my autographs and to post for some pictures with them. I was only trying to be nice by signing and all, but I ended up inadvertently creating quite a buzz in the place.

The entire walk to the gate, people were asking for my autograph, which led to even more people coming up to me, I even got a few, Can I have your autograph? Thanks so who are you anyway?

When I finally got to the gate, I grabbed a seat and was immediately approached by two security guards and an official-looking guy, who asked me if I'm okay or if I need any assistance. Just as I was telling them I was okay and it was no big deal, a group of kids headed my way to get an autograph.

After I finished signing all of their stuff, the official guy asked how long until my flight. A little over an hour. Great, come with me. So he took me up some elevator, into a lounger, and made sure I was comfortable. He asked if he could get me a cool beverage and within minute a woman brought me over the Diet Coke I requested. The official-looking guy told me to relax, that hell come get me before my flight.

He left and the woman who brought me the Diet Coke came back over to me, this time asking to see my boarding pass. She returned with a bowl of mixed nuts and a new boarding pass with a new seat -- in first class!

Wow! This is great! I can get used to this living. So I chill for an hour, read my book, and indulge in snacks until the official-looking guy returns, accompanied by the two security guys who first approached me, they took the back way to the gate. We preboarded the plane so I could get settled before anyone else comes on.

This was all so incredible. The service, the luxury, I couldn't believe what they did for me. I thanked my newly founded entourage and shook their hands as I said my good-byes. You're very welcome, it's our pleasure, they said. We're huge fans of yours, Ms. Spears.

Live from Saitama, Japan

Trish wasn't involved with a match in Saitama, Japan, which will air Monday Night as being "Live from Tokyo." She did a backstage segment. Fans will note the stitches in her lip from the injury sustained during the Honolulu match. This injury is probably why she didn't wrestle immediately and why the fans in Korea were treated to a match against Victoria.

For one, I don't know if you guys saw the shiner (black eye) that Trish got in a WWE live event this past weekend. She was on WWE Raw on Monday night, showing it off. I'm not going to tell you who gave it to her, but I'll bet the police crime lab would be able to match up my elbow perfectly to that bruise. I absolutely feel bad about giving that degree of injury to anyone...even Trish...but I take a little bit of pride realizing that it was the worst shiner that I had ever seen in my life.

Trish On The WM21 DVD Cover, Or Not?

Many fans are anticipating the yearly release of the WM21 cover. Two different version of the DVD have surfaced....

Version Two

In the case of Version One Trish is on the cover. One speculator noted that Version One also lists 3-Disc Collector's Edition. It's possible the Collector's Edition with the bonus material has Trish on the cover while the normal edition that will be in circulation long will not. We'll have to keep an eye out to see what happens.

Trish Not Drafted to Smackdown Yet!

A small scare rippled through the Stratusphere this afternoon when Trish fans every where began to fear that Trish was not on Raw and removed from the Raw opening even though someone in the WWE sent out a Press Release listing her as part of the Monday night show because in fact she was being drafted to Smackdown. This has turned out to be false. Early reports on wrestling forums indicated Muhammad Hassan was the draft pick for Smackdown this Tuesday night.

We can all breath a very deep sigh of relief now.

Unconfirmed reports place Trish at the annual G4 TechTV G-phoria awards show held this week.

"Trish was shown with the Pong stick and in the pre-show event."

Molly Speaks on Trish

Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald recently did a phone interview with PWTorch's VIP Audio Talk show and spoke about Trish.

- Nora notes that the two would train in the afternoons. Trish did attend a school for basic bumping. Trish was so eager to learn, she flew to Florida and they practiced for about five hours bumping with some of the guys. Nora flew in on her day off to help Trish and Stephanie prepare for the infamous No Way Out match. Nora didn't exactly want to take her under her wing. But instead looked at it from the perspective of someone to work with.

- Nora compliments Trish as never being a complainer and always taking brutal bumps. Nora makes the statement, that Trish could of gotten by with just her looks, but decided not to take that route.

- She also notes that Trish was one of the worst on the roster when it came to using a mic until she was given chances to practice and got a lot better.

- Nora has talked to Trish roughly a month ago and she appears to be in good spirits and is happy enjoying every day life recovering from her injury.

After watching G-phoria Awards show and seeing the segments with the "Pong stick" we can now conclude that whoever reported Trish being at G-phoria was mistaken. There was a guy dressed up at a "Pong stick" and he had two very attractive blond companions, neither was Trish.

After her Taboo Tuesday match Trish gave a small Q&A on WWE Instant Access like the other winners of the night. Here are the questions posed to her.
 
Question: Congratulations. This was a very dangerous environment for you under the Battle Royal conditions. What was it like defending the Women's Championship like that?

Trish: To me, the most dangerous part of this match was the attire because I know I can kick ass with the best of them, but I was worried about a little "slippage."

Question: Who do you think was your biggest threat tonight?

Trish: Well, I certainly had an eye on Victoria. I also had an eye on Mickie James, or I should say that she had an eye on me.

Question: What did you think of the outfits voted in by the fans?

Trish: I was a little surprised. I actually thought cheerleader would get the win. You guys missed out because I had one hell of a sexy cheerleader costume.

Question: Is there anything you'd like to say about new RAW Diva Mickie James?

Trish: Well, she's definitely got spunk.

Question: What's next for the Women's Champion?

Trish: A burger and fries, and then kick whoever's ass is next in line.
